As Promised!

Is it TGIF? Our little household has the Colorado Crud! I have been waiting for it to come. Each time we move one of us gets it. Lexi had it earlier this week and Brandon had to have it as well. We share in our house! It is just those nagging fevers and cough but it just makes their little bodies feel terrible. Since Brandon has been sick, he has missed three days of school and we have been stuck in this house. Let me scream pllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaz! Cabin FEVER is what I am getting!! We are headed to the Dr. here in a minute to make sure nothing else is going on. Hopefully I can find the clinic. Ha!

Anyways, last night I wanted to use my Big Blooms set on a scrapbook page. I know there are quite a few Basic Grey lovers out there and this set really mimics the Blush line of BG. I really like it. Anyhoo, this is what I created. I know some of you are screaming... "there is a crooked picture on KIMBERLYs layout!" I know, I know!! Crazy mood I was in. :) I used an oversize photo and just had fun playing with a few elements. I did a lot of cutting which many folks despise. My philosphy... detail. It is all in the detail. The cut flowers were able to be popped up on dimensionals and IRL, they look super cute. My chipboard I inked with Craft ink and then dried it with my heat gun. Then I stamped on it using the Doodle This set and White Stazon. I could of used my White Craft pad, but since I am the impatient one I decided to use the White Stazon instead. I also used this with the Doodle Alphabet. Are these not the cutest alphies ever? Gosh, I do love them. I stamped right on the photo and it really made the title pop!!

I added a few metal pieces from the hodgepodge hardware and I think it added to the doo dads of this layout. Regardless of what was done to it, bottom line... I had fun!! That is what you are supposed to have when scrapbooking. It did help that I listened to a little Jimmy Buffett and thought about sweating on a beach. I could go for some sweltering heat other than my convection heater at my desk!!! Can goosebumps permanently affect your skin if they last more than two months? Hmm.. good question isn't it!
