End of the Month!

Gosh, where did February go? Sell-A-Bration is drawing to a close and I am so sad. The stamp sets were just awesome. I am also sad to see the Winter Mini go! So many GREAT sets!! The positive side... Spring Mini here it comes. This catty has a lot to offer as well. GREAT sets and so many fun things to do with them.
I have been busy around my house the last couple of days as well as office work. I did create a few things last night and plan to show them later. Now that the house is getting somewhat together, occasionally it has to be cleaned. Hate that job. This is house is a little bigger than our last house which is great, but makes cleaning a real pooper. Speaking of poopers... since this house has 4 bathrooms, I named Tuesdays as Tuesday Toilets!! Now we know the poopers will be cleaned on Tuesdays. LOL! It works. This may be the only way this house gets cleaned. Days named for something to be cleaned! It is quite overwhelming. I guess today could be Wednesday Wash day! Another chore I despise. So many stamps I would rather be playing with.

Well, that is my story for today. I am alive, I have just been cleaning toilets!!

Look for something a little more creative later!!

Monday Mania

I'm feeling a little Monday Mania this morning. My list is growing with things to do and ideas spinning out of control in my head. Ever have that happen? We were busy this weekend getting pictures up on the walls and the house is actually starting to look complete. Not all the way. Lots of work to still be done, but overall it is coming together.

I was finally able to create last night once the house was settled down. I sat in my happy place and got busy. I was only able to crank out one card last night, however I like it. I have wanted to play with this spring mini set called Bundle of Joy. I have many friends that are having babies left and right and I need to make some cards!!
I kept in mainly monochromatic using Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa! Isn't this giraffe just the cutest little thing. Just love it!!!
Products used:
Stamps: Bundle of Joy, Canvas
CS: Choc chip, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, shimmer white
Ink: Brown Stazon, Choc. Chip, Creamy Caramel,
Access: Brads, ribbon, watercolor crayons, aqua painter, black pen

I just love stamping!

I am so grateful to the person that introduced me to this amazing craft!!! It just makes me stinkin' HAPPY!! So, I was browsing through the supermarket the other day when I came across my favorite Starbucks item. Those mocha cooler thingies. They are really yummy! Well, I had seen these cute things decorated on Splitcoast using some of the winter mini stamps and I thought about that adorable bunny set we now have in the Spring Mini. Now I personally LOVE this little bunny! Actually, I love the little chic in it. I have to tell you, my daughter is a HUGE bunny fan and she also just fell in love with the bunny and wants to stamp with it all the time. This is what I created using Mr. Bunny!!!

I stamped the Paisley background stamp onto Naturals white and then stamped the bunny over it with Timber Brown Stazon. I cut him out and sponged around the edges using Choc. Chip. I used a little liquid applique on the tail and it just adds that little sparkle to him. I did use a little of my Watercolor Crayons on his ears and nose to add a little warm pink to him. Now he looks ALIVE! I also popped him up with dimensionals. I used our new spring mini designer paper around the bottle and a little ribbon. I hope you like it. I sure do!!

Sneak Peek!

Good morning!!!! It is bright and sunshiney here and the temp is going to be in the high 60's. Makes me want to do a jig with my coffee.

I've been quite busy these past few days! One of my best friends and sideline in Stampin' Up! has been so GOOD to me these past few months. Let me explain for a minute. She has made me a few boxes filled with beautiful stamped items. The last box she sent me a shirt from Leadership and by far the coolest stamped stuff I have ever seen. So just what has this lazy friend done???? NADA!!! Now, before I get to cracken on myself... I have been a little busy. Actually, I have been busier than I ever wanted! At last, I have plenty of time to sit down and make her a nice box. I hope she likes it. I've also been working on some Spring Mini Swaps. I just love this mini and there are so many GREAT stamp sets in it.

I wanted to give you a peek into my happy place. If there is one room almost complete in the house, it would be my stamp/scrap room. This is just one half of a wall and I like how the shelves came out. I will show you the rest once we repaint this room. It's a really dark Handsome Hunter Green and I just don't like it. Since I am in the basement, it is a little darker down here. One advantage I do have is the sliding glass door which brings much light in the morning. LOVE IT! Russ hooked up my TV last night and I could feel the stamping juices flowing even better. It was just fabulous!

Lastly, here is a little card I made last night. This is going into my girlfriends box. I should make her a big fat CONGRATULATIONS card since she earned the cruise the other day. Can you say just AWESOME!!!! I can smell the Bermuda water, and plan on being next to her on that ship! Nothing like telling your goals to the whole world. :)
Anyhoo, this card uses the Big Blooms set from the Spring Mini. What a fun set. Check out Cambria's Blog! She has done some amazing cards with this set. Or as she would say, AWESBOMB BABY! *wink*
Here are the card details:
Stamps: Big Blooms, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, All in a Row, Bundle of Joy
CS: Real Red, Cool Carribean, Not Quite Navy
Ink: Real Red, Cool Carribean,
Access: Brads, Paper Piercer, Horizontal Slot punch, linen Thread, Ribbon, Paper Piercing Punch,
markers
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
Smooches!

Chocolate Box!

Want a box of CHOCOLATES? Who doesn't ? I was blog browsing the other night and found this cutie patootie box on Chi Chi's Blog. I thought I would give it the Kimberly Spin and this is what I came up with. These little boxes hold 3 Ghiradelli chocolates and perfect for any little gift to give that perfect someone. I decided to use my beloved Doodle This set. So much fun! I used Kraft paper and stamped with Black Stazon. I used my watercolor crayons and aqua painter to paint the doodles. I have found the Watercolor Crayons to be more vibrant with color when using them on Kraft CS rather than just my ink pad and Aqua Painter. I also stamped the doodle flower with Black Stazon on Kraft and colored with my crayons. I inked the edges of the box and flower with choc. chip dye ink. I added accents with the White gel pen. Real Red cardstock was used to make a small belly band to keep the lid of the box shut. I used that adorable LABEL punch and stamped 'thanks' from Everyday Flexible Phrases (how did we live without that set??). Lastly, I added a button in the middle of the flower for extra umph! Put a little linen thread in those things and viola, you have one cute button! I love that these little boxes stand up very well and just are so stinkin cute! Now to get back to more stampin'! Lots to do, no time to do it in!!!

A few samples

I was very honored this year to make samples for the boards at Leadership this year. Unfortunetly, I wasn't able to attend. I was weeding through some pics the other day when I found these pictures of some of my samples. Hope you enjoy!!

Success is GOOD!

Good evening! I was up late last night creating a few cards for an upcoming Stamp a Stack and thought I would share one of them with you. Obviously this one is more on the simplistic side to keep time down for the SAS. I have a really hard time keeping to simple. I always want to add much more, even sometimes going overboard.

I met with a few area demos this morning and must say it was so nice to chat with them. When you move to a new area the moving in part is always exhausting, but for me being lonely is the WORST! Don't get me wrong, I have a big mouth and meet people generally quickly. However, it is hard to get out there and make nice and hope someone thinks you're nice! Wink! Anyhoo, these demos are so very nice and have let me into their circle and I am grateful!

In case you are wondering... I am still cold. I really don't think I will warm up until July! I should take a picture of myself so you can see the hoards of clothing I wear daily to stay warm. Yes, the temp is up in the house. In fact the kids are stripping they are so hot. So what is MY problem???? Ugh!

It snowed last night and I was a nervous nelly getting on the roads this morning. I slid twice and called the mini van a few names. I did make it without problems and by the time I got into the car to come home it had melted.

I am going to start painting my stamp room this week. Once that is finished and the wall decor is up, I will share some pics. Hold on to your pantyhose! It will look really great!

I guess I could tell you what I used on this card...

Cardstock: Old Olive,Tempting Turquoise and Petals & Paisleys designer paper from the spring mini. Stamps: Polka Dots & Petals, Just So Sayings Access: White Gel Pen, 1/4 circle punch, 1 3/8 circle punch

Have a fabulous weekend! Hoping for a little stamp for Kimberly time tomorrow!

ETA: I have NO CLUE why you see white stuff all over the card in the thumbnail. When you click on the actual card it is not there. If someone knows... clue me in! I am technically
challenged!
A Ha moment... Found the problem! It is my Picture program that is giving me grief!!! See the difference!

Yummy Birthday Card!

I wanted to add this card as well that I did last night. I love circles! I believe this card has yummy colors and reminds me of cotton candy and spring with the designer polka dot paper. So stinkin' cute! I used my coluzzle for the circle. (The thumbnail of this card has white flecks all over it, but once you click on it you will see they really are not there. dunno!)

I used my Polka Dots and Paisley Set. I do adore the Paisley! I gave the paisley a little extra fun with adding the white gel pen dots around it. I used the horizontal punch to create a way to add my ribbon on the Old Olive circle and I think it added a nice touch. Anyone have a birthday now? I am actually prepared! Quite unusual!

Have a Fabulous Friday! I am going to try and scrapbook something later today. Besides organizing... scrapbooking is the ultimate goal!!

Got Chalk? This is a product I really don't use often enough. Stampin' Up! has the best quality chalk on the market in my opionion. It is very soft and works very well to color images. You can even use a blender pen with chalk to create a nice watercolored image. For this card, I used Tempting Turquoise , Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock. I stamped my doodles in Black and punched a few holes along the flourishes. I then took my Tempting Turquoise chalk and ran it along the flourishes. It really gives it a soft effect. I likey! To give a little spice, I used my new spiral punch on the top of the basic black cardstock. LOVE LOVE LOVE this punch! I am getting ready to start a project using this on a spiral notebook. Lastly on this card, I used my Amazing to Zany word set (another must have) and added the sentiment. I could of added much more detail, but really was looking for a simplistic card. I have to tell myself, simple is a good thing!!
Now, back to organizing the house. It is a tad windy outside today. Just another reason to stay inside and be WARM!

Giddy with excitement!

Oh my! Look at that header! I am so excited and feel like a big girl. My GREAT SIL did this for me. She is so stinkin' smart!! If you knew how long I played with it to see how to do it you would of laughed!! Thank you my dear SIL!!! You are simply the best!!

At least I can see the SEA everyday on my blog since I am really stamping in the beautiful mountains now!

It's Valentines every day in my house!

So, this is what I made for my sweet guy for Valentines. It really is Valentines everyday with the two of us! I do believe he deserves a medal for putting up with my crap, however I deserve a medal for the many moves!!! :)
Anyhoo, this is made with my new fav stamp set Doodle This. I want to Doodle on everything. I just looooooooovess it!! Really purty simple card. It never ceases to amaze me how often I end up cutting an image out because that little detail just makes it 50x cuter. Ya know?
Oh my, American Idol is on and I am on here. Say it isn't so! Gotta run... FAST!!!

Feeling a Little Doodle Magic

Happy Valentines Day! As I was watching the snow come down last night, it was so peaceful in my stamp room. I thought I would play a little with my Spring mini stamps. I always enjoy watercoloring, even if I am not the master at it. This set is so fun to work with and the options that can be done with this set make it a real winner for me. The colors I used were Taken with Teal, Certainly Celery and Tempting Turqouise. Three of my fav colors. I also used some of they new designer series paper that I know will impress you! I added lots of embellishments on this card. More than I normally would, but the flowers just called for me to add the buttons. You will note one of the buttons I doodled on myself with my favorite white gel pen.
Hope you like it!

We received about 3 inches of snow yesterday. Since it's Hump day Wednesday I will give you a laugh. Those that know me, know I do NOT work out. Well yesterday, I did. I went to take my son to school and noted there was a considerable amount of snow on the winshield. I took my snow brush and wiped it away, only to find it was ice. After scraping ice for 10 minutes I was not happy about living here and only could think warm thoughts of Flordia again. Needless to say, my son was late for school! I just kindly told the teacher we are not use to scraping ice off windshields. Now my priority will be to get the car in the garage!!

I do have a Valentines card I will upload in a while. May your day be filled with LOVE!

Finally!

Yes, I stamped. I told you I needed to get those Valentines done for Brandon, and that is exactly what I did. I was really looking for a WOW project, but when it comes down to the wire, I just needed Valentines. You will have to excuse the lighting on the pics until I figure out the best place to take shots in my new room. I was hoping for a bright sunny day, but it is snowing!

Back to the Valentines... As you can see in the second picture, these open up and display a little fun chocolate. I hope this brings a smile to someones face. So just how do you make these darling little matchbooks? First let me give credit where it is due. I have met a few fantastic demos here in the Springs and the first time I met them they showered me with Swaps. Can you believe that? I was so tickled and so welcomed. They probably had no idea how that made me feel. Anyhoo, one of the swaps came from them. To make this, cut your cardstock 10.5x3.5. Score at 3", 3.5", 6 3/4", and 7 1/4". Viola! Now, fold on your score lines and decorate to your liking. I used a few stamps on this little booger. I used our new Spring Mini stamp Doodle This. (Scrappers.... this set is a MUST have!!!!!) I also used the set Sweet on You from the Winter Mini. To make "SWEET" pop I stamped it and punched using my 1" circle punch. I then took it through my xyron and dusted it with Dazzling Diamonds. I also used our new Label punch in the Spring Mini. WOW is that a fun punch. The possiblities are endless with this!! You will notice that I embossed the Doodle This with detail White EP. I thought it really made it pop more. Lastly, I took our grograin ribbon in Light Pink and finished it off. While I know just a bunch of 5 year olds will be tearing into these, it did give me a sense of accomplishment... something I haven't had in a bit.
The house is still coming along. Still lots to do, but I have come to the reality that it's going to take a LONG time anyways!! Smooches!

It's getting there!

The house is starting to look much more normal. Russ and I worked all day yesterday. From the time we got up until we went to bed. It was fun to giggle with him and feel like newlyweds. When you move and you are unpacking you run across items you don't see for awhile. Including pics of us right before we got married. Gosh we were cute! Makes me fall in love all over again.

*Most* of the boxes are unpacked in the house. However, there are many boxes in the garage and I am praying those boxes have some items I am surely missing!! Russ can't find his jeans. Ha. I shouldn't laugh, but it is *his* missing item. I don't think its a bad thing! But, you can't run around naked here that is for sure. Must find his pants! Hee hee!

The weekend has been gorgeous. 50 degrees here feels almost like 60 in Florida. You would think the kids would want to play outside. Oh no! We found a toy box yesterday and literally it was like Christmas revisted. That part of a move is actually fun! Watching them get reaquainted with old toys. I must admit, it is almost the same when I go through my own stamp room. I always here from many of you that I have sooooo much stuff. I found out through this move, YOU are correct. It was fun seeing some stamps that have been neglected. I have a few projects in store. Promise.

Let me take a minute to say thank you to the many of you who listen to me ramble about this move. This little blog has been more of just an outlet to express my true feelings about this move. I have felt so much closer to home than I ever thought I would. It has given me a chance to vent and also a chance to go back and laugh hysterically at some of the calamitys we have been hit with. All and all, this will become my creative place to inspire you in some way. May it be a good laugh for the day, or an actual creative piece... it will happen. I believe all the right tools are in place now. The only tool needed is my hand and ink. I think that actually might happen today. So hold onto to your pants. You may be surprised tomorrow.

Fabulous Friday!

Glad Friday is here. Why you ask? Russ will be home this weekend to help unpack! ***GRIN*** I have worked all week on this house and about to go crazy. I admit to a complete melt down last night and Russ stayed up way to late helping me get my office organized. I'm sure you have heard these things before when you move... I have no friends, my business is crap, the house is a wreck, I don't like it here, I wanna go home! These were my feelings last night! Change is always so hard and I'm finding that as I get older it is getting harder! So my husband, the great guy that he is, listened to me cry, held me tight and told me to get in my stamp room and get to work. I love it when he brings reality back. That is who he is! He kindly set up the computer! Smooches to him. While I love the laptop and I can shimmy all over the house with it, my main computa' is my LIFE!!! It has EVERYthing on it. When he first hooked it up I was afraid that it wouldn't work. Remember, this is move #7 in 10 years... it has happened before. So far it is working fine.
Today should be the same. Unpacking! HOWEVER! Brandon needs Valentines for his school. Guess what I will be making??? You betcha! It has to be cool because I need to WOW some mom here. Hmmm... any suggestions? A girl has to start somewhere!! Valentines it is!

I'll check back later. Hope to have a progression picture of how it is coming along.

Work in progress!

Gosh, who knew we had so much STUFF? or maybe I am the one with TOO much stuff. I am still unloading my Queen space. I am amazed how well they packed my beautiful paper. Not one paper wrinkled or corner bent. Of course, I did explain to the nice packing man that my paper was my precious china. (wink)! The room is coming along nicely. I am finding stuff that I had forgot I had. I have to get the room organized as I received my Spring Mini Preorder yesterday as well. I opened that big beautiful Stampin' Up! box and just about fell on the floor. The beauty of these stamps just makes me wiggle in my boots. I can't wait for you to see them. They are truly spectacular. I had a flat tire yesterday so I had to make a run to the Tire store. Lexi and I packed a little bag of goods so we wouldn't get bored and away we went. I mounted stamps the entire time. I thought they could just fix the flat, but oh no. I know how to really make a tire flat. :) I have a brand new tire now. Hmph!!!
Brandon likes his school. I am still not adjusting well. Probably because he got lost when leaving at the end of the day. When everyone went Right to get out the door, he went Left. He didn't know and found himself by himself. Poor baby had big crocodile tears and was so scared. I was angry. The problem was solved though. It shouldn't happen again.

Well, tomorrow is another day and I am sure a few more boxes will be opened. Have a Terrific Thursday!

Stamp Room Mess

Good afternoon! Thought I would share a pic of the mess I am in. Since I knew my Spring Mini Preorder would arrive today, I decided to tackle my stamp room last night. Completely overwhelming, but it will come together. Just not as fast as I would like it.

Brandon starts school today. Half day Kindergarten. What is that?????????? Pure craziness. Of course he will do fine. It is me who has the issues. I am eager to meet his new teacher, and pray she is as kind as his last. :)

The kids are adjusting well. Today our high is supposed to be 62 degrees. I might faint. ;)

My stuff is here...

and it is EVERYWHERE!!!! I would snap a pic for you, but I am afraid I would scare you. The house is obviously just a mess. Let me tell ya... moving in when it is literally 0 degrees outside is completely INSANE! I have never been so cold in all my life. For the most part, it was a smooth move. One guy fell down the stairs, one guy fell outside on ice and landed right on his bootie. Another fell on ice on the truck and scraped his knee and proceeded to get blood on the carpet. All this and really just one piece of furniture was broke coming into the house. They goofed bringing in the china cabinet. It was on it's side and BAM, the door fell off!!! Right from the wood. I could say nothing because my teeth were chattering.

My kiddo's did fantastic the entire day. It was alot to ask of them to stay in one room for about 8 hours. Of course they were hooked up with lots of snacks and toys. It was just so cold in the house I didn't want them wandering around. They are troopers.

I finally got warm last night when I got in my bed with two pair of socks, full clothing plus a sweatshirt, my blankets and a quilt. Russ was sweating. ;)
Today we accomplished a lot. There is still a ton to do, but gradually it will come together.
I'm looking to get my favorite room together early this week. Only because Alexis cried today when I told her I couldn't find my stamps. Just for her... that room just needs to be put together. :)

Enjoy the Super Bowl tomorrow.

Morning Friends!

Tomorrow is the big moving day. I am very excited to get into our home. I feel like it has been such a long journey to get to this point. Now, to get it all unpacked. Keep warm thoughts on your mind for us tomorrow as it will be 4 degrees when they are unloading our stuff. OH MY!!!
It snowed last night and it was so beautiful.... until you went outside and it felt like -18. {eyes poppin' outta my head} Today is another Kimberly doesn't go outdoor day.

I had to pack up my creative space once again since we will be moving out of the hut tomorrow morning. Look for new creations soon. Let me get my new stamp room up and running and then new ideas and fun stuff will be overflowing here. In fact, I am not sure how much internet access I will until they come install it. The first available date was Feb. 8th. WHAT???????? NO INTERNET????? How will I survive? This moving stuff is for the birds.

I am giddy with excitement this morning!!! I just did my preorder for the Spring Mini. Hold on to your panties girls. This mini is just AMAZING!!!!! Scrappers, you will be beside yourself when it comes to your door. Stampin' Up! is just staying on top of the new trends and bringing out new products that are just fabulous. I love this company! Ya know, you can sign up with Stampin' Up! RIGHT NOW for only $99! Email me if you are jumping outta your skin to learn more. :) OH! and more great news!!! Stampin' Up! also won the Creating Keepsakes Readers Choice Award for the 7th (yes SEVEN) year in a row. This was for Rubber Stamps (ours truly are the best), Stamp pads (are there better? hmph!), Watercolor Crayons, and our Idea book and Catalog. Whooooooooooooopie!!!!! Makes me want to dance. Actually, I think I have had too much coffee this morning. :)

Okay, I am off to start my day. I will post as often as I can, even if I have to find a library.

Hugs to each of you and thanks for listening to me ramble!!
